EarthThreads is ....

Handmade and Upcycled clothing and bags that I have designed and created. My idea behind Earth Threads is that no piece of clothing is ever done; Anything can be redesigned into something new and exciting. Instead of creating more waste, by throwing away clothes and buying new ones, make the old ones new again. Each piece is made from home and is inspired by the colors and textures of the Vermont and New Hampshire area. 

How EarthThreads Began ....

I was given a sewing machine when I was eleven; it was a great Christmas present from my grandmother. Being only eleven, I made a few pillows with it and couldn't manage much more. Five years later I dug my machine out of the closet and made a bag. I made another bag, and then a shirt, and then a dress, then another, and another. Soon I was making things for friends, and so Earth Threads, so cleverly named by my sister and her friend, began. Now as a college student, I make shirts, bags and headbands all by hand.
