Our StoryEST 2020I have a huge passion for fashion and sustainability. Over the past couple of years I have learned of how harmful the fast fashion industry is for the environment. Yes, the cheaper prices are enticing, yet the long term effects of this industry are detrimental to our earth. To help combat this issue in my life, I have started thrifting and stopped purchasing from large fast fashion companies. However, I have always faced a problem while thrifting. I can see the potential of some pieces, yet I am unable to make my vision come to life by upcycling the clothing. This is how I came up with the idea of Earth Threads, the company that revamps thrifted finds for you. The company helps keep fashion trends alive, and helps reduce our carbon footprint. I am also extremely passionate about advocating for human rights for all people. Therefore, I have decided to donate a portion of Earth Threads profits to organizations that support the fight for equal rights as well as environmental rights. I am excited for the potential of this business model and looking forward to the positive social impacts it will create.
